Dedalus officially opens new headquarters

Dedalus Ireland today officially opened its new Irish headquarters at Northwood Business Park, Dublin, at an event attended by Peter Burke TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, alongside Michael Lohan, CEO, IDA Ireland, and Counsellor Edoardo Berionni Berna, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Italy in Ireland.

The opening marks a significant milestone in Dedalus’s continued growth and long-term investment in Ireland, further strengthening the company’s capabilities in support of both the Irish and wider European healthcare systems.

The new Irish headquarters follows the announcement last December by Taoiseach Micheál Martin that Dedalus, Europe’s leading healthcare software provider, will create 100 new high-value jobs in Ireland over the next four years as part of a €10 million Irish expansion strategy. The investment, supported by IDA Ireland, underscores Dedalus’s long-term commitment to Ireland as a strategic hub for digital health innovation and delivery.

Dedalus has partnered with the Irish health system for more than 30 years. Its technologies support hospitals and healthcare organisations nationwide across areas including electronic patient records, laboratory systems, diagnostics, patient administration, clinical interoperability and patient engagement portals.
The company’s ongoing expansion in Ireland includes a strong focus on roles in research, development and innovation which are central to the evolving digital health ecosystem. This investment is helping grow Ireland-based expertise and capacity to support both the domestic healthcare landscape and wider European operations from Ireland.

As part of its recruitment and talent development strategy, Dedalus is partnering with Generation Ireland, a non-profit organisation supporting people seeking careers in the technology and green sectors.
The expansion is progressed in collaboration with the indigenous digital health sector, the HSE and hospital networks nationwide, helping to strengthen Ireland’s broader digital health and innovation ecosystem.

Officially opening the company’s new Irish headquarters, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke TD said: “I am delighted to officially open Dedalus’s new Irish headquarters, a significant milestone that reflects both the company’s confidence in Ireland and our growing reputation as a global hub for digital innovation.

“Dedalus’s €10 million investment and commitment to creating 100 high-value jobs is a strong endorsement of the exceptional talent and expertise available here. As healthcare systems increasingly embrace digital technologies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery, companies like Dedalus are playing an important role in driving that transformation. I wish the team every success as they continue to grow their operations in Ireland and contribute to the future of healthcare innovation both here and across Europe.”

Speaking at the opening, Michael Lohan, CEO, IDA Ireland, said: “IDA Ireland’s mid-year results released last week demonstrate the continued strength of Ireland’s proposition and the confidence global companies have in this country as a location to establish, scale and transform. Dedalus’s decision to expand its operations here is a clear example of that confidence. This investment aims to create high-quality roles, strengthen Ireland’s digital health capabilities, and enhance our position as a centre of excellence for healthcare technology and innovation.”

Cathy McCartan, Executive Director, Dedalus Ireland, said: “The opening of our new Irish headquarters marks an exciting new chapter for Dedalus in Ireland. Following the Taoiseach’s announcement of our €10 million Irish expansion strategy, this reflects our continued commitment to Ireland as a key location for innovation, talent and growth. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the Irish healthcare system and remain committed to supporting its digital transformation, contributing to Dedalus’s wider European operations from our growing Irish base.”
